BACA president receives Lebanese ambassador

Manama, Jun. 5 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received here today the Lebanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Milad Nammour, with whom she discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation to achieve cultural projects. Shaikha Mai extended thanks to the ambassador for the efforts he is exerting to enhance Bahraini-Lebanese relations. She also informed him about the latest cultural developments in the kingdom, citing BACA’s celebrations of “Muharraq as Capital of Islamic Culture 2018”, holding of two concerts marking Eid Al-Fitr, launch of the 10th edition of the Bahrain Summer Festival, as well as its hosting of the World Heritage Committee meeting on June 24. The Lebanese envoy laude BACA’s role in enriching the cultural movement in the kingdom through offering varied economic activities that promote Bahrain’s status as a regional and international cultural hub. He expressed his readiness to cooperate with BACA in order to enhance relations between the two brotherly countries.
