BACA president receives Oman ambassador

Manama, June 10 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)’s President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received the Omani Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulla bin Rashid bin Ali Al-Medelewi.

Shaikha stressed the strong relations between Bahrain and Oman. She briefed the ambassador on the latest developments in the Bahraini cultural movement. She said that the Kingdom is preparing to receive a number of important cultural events in June, such as the forty-second World Heritage Committee, which will be chaired by Bahrain in Manama and the 10th Bahrain Summer Festival. To celebrate Muharraq, the capital of Islamic culture 2018.

Al-Medelewi praised the efforts of BACA in the field of heritage conservation, antiquities protection and the promotion of local cultural mobility.
