Baghdad Operations announces the implementation of a special security plan to secure the Baghdad International Fair's activities

BAGHDAD / NINA / Baghdad Operations Command announced the implementation of a special security plan with start of the Baghdad International Fair's activities, which starts today and lasts ten days in Mansour district, west of Baghdad. The Spokesman Operations Command Brigadier General, Saad Maan said in a statement today that "Baghdad Operations Command and the Ministry of Interior launched especial security plan in the first day of the Baghdad International Fair, which includes the grand opening ceremony attended by senior officials, ambassadors of friendly countries and delegations from different world countries, as well as representatives of the participating companies and delegations, diplomatic and commercial attaché. " Maan added, "The plan includes the deployment of joint forces in the roads leading to the exhibition as well as the deployment of inspection detachments to secure people and vehicles entering the Fair, noting that" Operations Command in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic stressed not to shut down public roads in the (Karkh) district and maintain the smooth flow of traffic as much as possible as it will see some of the nearby roads open one lane for cars back and forth and for limited periods of time and according to the requirements of the security situation in peak times. " He said, "The Army Aviation and helicopters will participate in the activities of the opening ceremony and a force stationed at the entrances to the exhibition will be deployed throughout the days of the exhibition, and another subareas of the Baghdad International Airport to secure the movement of delegations coming to the Fair back and forth" ./ End
