Bahrain attends Strategic Vision Group meeting

Kazan, May 28 (BNA) –Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) Vice Chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Khalifa attended the meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia and the Islamic World". The event was held at the Government House under the auspices of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov. Addressing the session, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Khalifa conveyed from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and thanked President Minnikhanov for inviting Bahrain to take part. He underlined strong bilateral relations biding Bahrain and Russia, in light of meetings between leaders and officials from the two countries. He pointed out good relations between Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) and the Russian Muftis Shura Council and Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation. He cited in this regard the recent visit of Speaker of the Russian Muftis Shura Council and President of the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation Sheikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen Shaikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen to Bahrain last March.
