Bahrain backs anti-Iran US strategy

Manama, June 5 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received today German, British and French Ambassadors Alfred Simms-Protz, Simon Martin and Cecile Longe. During the meeting, the Ambassadors presented a joint statement issued by the joint committee of the parties to the nuclear agreement with Iran, explaining their countries' efforts to maintain this agreement to preserve what has been achieved in order to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear state.  The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Kingdom of Bahrain supports the US strategy towards Iran, which aims at tackling the danger of the Iranian policies that undermine security and stability in the region, and to overcome the shortcomings of the nuclear agreement and stop Iran’s subversive interventions and support of terrorist groups in the region, preventing the danger of Iran's ballistic missile program to ensure peace and security in the region and the world. During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed.
