Bahrain delegation visits Suez Canal

Cairo, Apr.30 (BNA): On the sidelines of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Arab Republic of Egypt, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and a number of businessmen and businesswomen visited the Suez Canal During the visit, the delegation visited Simulation Center of the Suez Canal and met the Canal head of the Suez Authority General Mohab Mamish who briefed the delegation about the history of the canal and its important economic role for the Egypt, pointing that the Suez Canal considered a key supplier of hard currency in Egypt and operates approximately 25,000 Egyptians and works over 24 hours without stopping. He also pointed to its influential role in promoting tourism in the Egypt. He added that the canal achieved the highest revenue since it was established in 2014 when it generated $5.3 billion.
