Manama, May 25 (BNA): The Bahrain-European Environmental Week is held under the auspices of the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) and organised by the Regional Arab Centre for Global Heritage in cooperation with the French, German and Italian embassies to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the British Council. The event was inaugurated at the regional centre in the presence of SCE's Deputy CEO Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Bin Daina, the centre's director Dr. Munir Bushnaq, the ambassadors of France, German and Italy and the director of the British Council, in addition to a large gathering of media and environmental culture activists in Bahrain and from around the globe. On this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Bin Daina attached a special importance to the current year (2015) in terms of sustainable development and climate change, as the world will opt for different directions regarding the post-2015 era through the implementation of sustainable global development goals, and also through the new climate agreement to be issued during the Climate Change Conference in Paris (COP21).
