Bahrain to host Arab Youth Initiatives Conference2018

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): The Isa Cultural Centre (ICC) will hold the 2nd Conference of Arab Youth Initiatives and Social Responsibility, under the patronage of the centre's CEO Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Isa Cultural Centre.
The conference takes places on August 9-11 which coincides with the International Youth Day announced by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 17 December 1999 to annually mark August 12 as an International Youth Day for honouring the role of youth as key partners in nations' progress.

The conference guests include UNDP resident representative Ameen Al Sharqawi, Arab Voluntary Associations Federation chairman Hassan Bu Hazza, international Social Responsibility ambassador Hassan Ibrahim Kamal.

The conference will discuss opportunities for Arab youth to volunteer in the UN organisations and agencies, amalgamation of Arab youth voluntary programmes to achieve peace and development, case studies from around the globe as well as coaching on best practices and experiences in this field.
