Bahrain to host "GEFT2016" forum

Manama, May 6 (BNA): Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) announced that the "Gulf Education Future Technology-GEFT2016" forum will be held on the 18th 19 May in Bahrian under the patronage of Dr. Majid bin Ali Al- Nuaimi, Minister of Education. "Gulf Education Future Technology 2016-GEFT2016" will provide an unprecedented opportunity in Bahrain to meet and network among educational institutions and the technology companies, aiming to guarantee reaching a common vision to ways of meeting requirements of those institutions in the fields of information and communications technology (ICT) in Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf. GEFT2016 Forum examines, through several sessions and workshops, topics related to future directions in the ICT field and its impact on the education sector and its future in light of the expansion of use of ICT, and how to adopt appropriate educational methods that would improve academic achievement and upgrade the skills of graduates. President of BTECH, Ubaidly Ubaidly, explained that the forum seeks to keep pace with the reality of evolving education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially the e-learning type. "It is an opportunity to showcase the great achievements made through the project of His Majesty King for Future Schools, and the future steps that will be witnessed by the educational system that are related to the start of in the implementation of the "Digital Empowerment in Education" project," said Ubaidly. "The forum will also focus on the importance of strengthening the role of those institutions in the world of technology and enabling them digitally, and a reflection of these issues on training and values in schools’ community, and the importance of supporting technology approach to facilitate experiences mastery" Ubaidly add.
