Bahrain hosts GCC accounting, auditing meeting

Manama, May.5 (BNA): Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashed Al-Zayani Bahrain will tomorrow (May6) open the 9th annual meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council Accounting and Auditing Organization (GCCAAO). The (GCC) Accounting and Auditing Organization is holding the forum in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Accountants Association. The two-day symposium is being held under the theme: "Accounting and Auditing Profession – Global Developments and Professional Implications". The participants will focus on the global trends and the future of accounting and auditing profession, Islamic finance, transparency, accountability, quality standards and the challenges of the GCC common market.
