Bahrain, Jordan deep-rooted relations hailed

Manama, May 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa deputised His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) First Deputy President, Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Chairman, to attend a ceremony marking the 69th National Day of Jordan, the 16th anniversary of the accession of King Abdulla II Ibn Al-Hussain to the throne and the Jordanian Army Day. The Jordanian Embassy in Bahrain hosted the event at Al-Dana Ballroom, Gulf Hotel Conference and Convention Centre. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa was received on arrival by Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed Al-Mulla, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Kuwaiti Ambassador Shaikh Azzam Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Jordanian Ambassador Mohammed Ali Abdulhamid Siraj, ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, representatives of the Jordanian embassy and guests. He conveyed greetings and congratulations from HM the King to the Jordanian monarch and people on this occasion, stressing deep-rooted relations bonding the two friendly countries. He wished Jordan and its brotherly people further development and progress in the prosperous era of King Abdulla II ibn Al-Hussain praying to Allah Almighty to protect Jordan from any harm. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed the efforts of the two leaders in bolstering fraternal relations and advocating Arab causes, stressing their endeavor to promote pan-Arab unity and explore solutions to settle contentious Gulf and Arab issues. He extended thanks to HM the King for deputizing him to attend the celebratory events. Ambassador Siraj addressed the ceremony, stressing good relations bonding Jordan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. He hailed deep-rooted fraternal relations bonding Jordan and Bahrain, wishing the King further progress and prosperity, led by HM the King. .
