Bahrain-Korean cultural ties hailed

Manama, Aug.9 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa received Korean Ambassador Koo Hyun-Mo and discussed cooperation to enrich cultural exchanges. She underlined BACA-led efforts to promote cultural life in Bahrain and strengthen relations in the world, hailing the participation of the Korean Philharmonic Orchestra in the 13th Spring of Culture. BACA president briefed the Korean envoy about latest projects lined up as part of festivities marking the Muharraq Capital of Islamic Culture 2018. She announced that a visitors’ centre would be inaugurated late November 2018, at the location of the Pearl Trail, which featured on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites. The Korean envoy expressed delight at construction cooperation with the authority, stressing the necessity of strengthening cultural ties. He underlined his country’s keenness on taking part in upcoming cultural seasons in Bahrain.
