Bahrain leadership congratulated on WHO distinction

Manama, May 28 (BNA): Chairman of the Supreme Health Council Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa extended on behalf of all the affiliates of the health and medical sectors heartfelt congratulations to the leadership on choosing Bahrain as member of the Executive Council of the World Health Organisation (WHO) during the organisation's 139th meeting and within the framework of the 69th session of the World Health Assembly held in Geneva from May 23 to 28. He also congratulated Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh on the occasion, describing the achievement as a clear evidence of Bahrain's commitment to implementing the resolutions and recommendation of WHO. Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed praised the outstanding efforts made by the Bahraini delegation in bringing about the achievement, stressing that choosing Bahrain unanimously as member of WHO's Executive Council reflects the kingdom's high standing on the world map and is a tribute for Bahrain's unrelenting efforts to upgrade the health sector and optimise medical services.
