Bahrain marks 200 anniversary of relations with UK

London, Apr. 29 (BNA): Bahrain embassy in the UK held a series of functions and documentaries as part of celebrations held in both countries marking 200 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them. A documentary entitled "The UN and Bahrain-A Permanent Partnership", which was inaugurated in Bahrain recently, was shown as part of the activities marking the 7oth anniversary of the UN. Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa lauded the documentary which, he said, highlights the outstanding relation between Bahrain and the UN thanks to the unflinching care and keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to boost relations and cooperation with the international organisation. Bahraini Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa also inaugurated the premiere of "Let’s Go Home" movie in Leicester Square Theatre in London. The film was written and produced by Shaikha Suha bint Abdulrahman bin Fares Al Khalifa as well as British writers and producers. The shows were attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the UK and members of Bahrain-British Friendship Society.
