Bahrain-Morocco ties hailed

Manama, July 27 (BNA): The Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain, Ahmed Rasheed Khattabi, hailed the royal visit of HM King Muhammad VI of Morocco to the Gulf region last April and the convening of the first Morocco-GCC Summit in Riyadh. The ambassador said that the visit and the summit gave huge impetus to the long-established institutional mutual partnership, and the strategic alliance that protects the common interests and security as well as the close cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Morocco. The ambassador said his country is closely connected with Bahrain through full coordination, mutual trust, recognition of national issues and the protection of sovereign interests thanks to their robust bilateral ties and high-level of coordination of views on various regional and international issues. "There is no alternative as per the royal perspective other than serious proceeding to integration among the Arab countries and steering away from sterile slogans to true solidarity to confront the formidable challenges that emerged clearly in the aftermath of the so-called 'Arab spring'," the ambassador told Al Ayam newspaper on the occasion of the 17th Glorious Accession Day.
