Bahrain to participate in Arab Parliamentarians Conference

Manama, May 26 (BNA): Chairperson of Shura Committee on Women and Children's Affairs, Hala Ramzi, will represent Bahrain at the third Arab Parliamentarians Conference on 31 May in Cairo. The conference is organized by Arab League in collaboration with Arab Parliament and Egypt's National Council for Childhood and Motherhood. Ramzi underlined the Shura Council's keenness to learn about the latest development and visions related to child affairs in the Arab region. She explained the conference aims to develop, through Arab League and Arab Parliament, mechanisms to follow up progress in the activation of International Convention on the Rights of the Child, development plan for the investment in childhood in Arab region 2015-2030, as well as bolstering child protection mechanisms amid armed conflicts witnessed by a number of Arab countries.
