Bahrain, Philippines express keenness on consolidating ties

Manama, Apr. 8 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa has received the Ambassador of the Philippines to Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver. The meeting touched on a number of other issues of common interest. Dr. Shaikha Rana expressed pride in the distinguished relations between the two countries in various fields and affirmed the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen cooperation, in light of the presence of a large Philippine community in Bahrain with laudable contributions to the kingdom’s development. The ambassador hailed the meeting as a reflection of the close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all accredited diplomatic missions in Bahrain and affirmed his country's keenness to consolidate its relations with the Kingdom. He also expressed admiration of Bahrain's efforts in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and providing free vaccines to all citizens and residents without exception. The diplomat wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
