Bahrain, Saudi strategic relations hailed

Riyadh, Apr.16 (BNA) Bahrain Ambassador to Riyadh Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has today hailed deep-rooted and strategic relations with Saudi Arabia. In a statement to Okaz newspaper, he stressed the importance of the talks between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. He stressed firm support to Saudi Arabia at this critical and historical phase, pointing out Bahrain’s participation in the Saudi-led Gulf-Arab Coalition "Operation Decisive Storm" to restore legitimacy and defeat the rebellious Houthis militias which are backed by ousted President Ali Saleh. "Houthis and the ousted president are harboured, armed and trained by foreign parties and their proxies in the Arab region as part of their hegemonic designs", he said. He said that the military offensive has achieved most of its goals, downsizing the Houthi militias, obliging them to beat retreat and thwarting the hegemonic agenda in the region. He paid tribute to the leaders of the countries taking part in the Operation Decisive Storm which, he said, restored the dignity of the Arab nation, cementing pan-Arab unity and reawakened its hopes.
