Bahrain, Tunisia sign agreement

Tunis, Oct.8 (BNA): Bahrain and Tunisia signed a joint cooperation agreement to promote administrative governance, electronic administration and quality excellence in the public sector. Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa sealed the deal with Tunisia Minister in Charge of the General Secretariat of the Government Ahmed Zarrouk on the sidelines of the 2nd Conference of the Middle East and North-Africa Public Administration Research Network (MENAPAR), being held in Tunis on October 6-9. Public Administration (BIPA) is holding the conference in cooperation with the Tunis-based Arab Governance Institute (AGI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other regional and international organisations. (BIPA) President, head of the Middle East and North-Africa Public Administration Research Network (MENAPAR) attended the signing of the agreement, along with other senior officials. Al-Mutawa hailed strong relations bonding Bahrain and Tunisia, stressing the value-added cooperation agreement which, he said, would bolster joint ties through intensive staff professional development training programmes.
