Bahrain-UAE parliamentary cooperation discussed

Abu Dhabi, Apr. 8 (BNA): Secretary General of the Representatives Council, Chancellor Rashid Mohammed Bunejma, praised deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE President, Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Representatives Council Secretary General was speaking during a meeting today with Secretary General of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Omar Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, which was held on the sidelines of the Arab Parliamentary Group’s coordination meeting held in the UAE. Chancellor Bunejma emphasised keenness of the Representatives Council to boost parliamentary cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries, under the presidency of Representatives Council Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal and Speaker of the UAE National Council, Saqr Ghobach. The Representatives Council Secretary General pointed out the importance of joint cooperation and exchanging parliamentary experiences, stressing the need to further promote the GCC parliamentary diplomacy at regional and international gatherings.
