Bahrain-UK relations praised

Manama, July 2 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has received the outgoing Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Iain Lindsay, and praised the two countries mutual interest in bolstering the historical bilateral relations. Deputy Premier hailed the commendable efforts made by the British Ambassador in reinforcing the bilateral relations in various fields, chiefly in security, military and defence areas. The two sides discussed joint efforts in fighting terrorism. They underlined the need to intensify international efforts to combat terrorism which is contrary to humanitarian and religious principles and criminalized by laws. British Ambassador thanked Bahrain's leadership and government for making his diplomatic mission successful, lauding values of tolerance, friendship and communication enjoyed by Bahraini people. He noted Bahrain's flexible economic policy which has managed over the past years to attract foreign capital and investments, pointing out the huge trade growth between the two kingdoms in the past five years.
