Bahrain-US Council condemns Iranian interference

Manama, July 27 (BNA): Bahrain-US Council has strongly condemned Iran's blatant interference in Bahrain's internal affairs. A statement issued by the Council said that the US and the international community are fully aware of Iran's subversive and incitement role in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Middle East. The statement denounced the Iranian attempts to undermine Bahrain's stability by smuggling weapons and explosives and providing training and funding for terrorist groups, which is a clear violation of Bahrain's sovereignty, international norms and conventions. The Council urged Bahrain's government to take all necessary measures to deter terrorist groups that target innocent people in Bahrain and receive support and training from Iran, which poses a threat to the international peace. Council's Chairman Dr. Al-Sadiq Khalafallah called on the US Administration and Congress to seriously address the Iranian plot designed at undermining the stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the entire region. He called for reconsidering the nuclear deal with Iran as it is a rogue state.
