Bahrain-U.S friendship relations hailed

Manama, May 30 (BNA): Chairman of the Shura Council’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Khuzae, has expressed pride in the deep-rooted Bahrain-U.S relations, stressing that the long-standing ties have reflected positively on the two countries and their friendly peoples. Dr. Al-Khuzae was speaking while receiving here today the U.S Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin Siberell, in the presence of the committee’s deputy chairman, Adel Abdulrahman Al-Ma’awda, and member, Nancy Khadhouri. He stressed that the friendship bonds between the two countries have contributed to enhancing many fields, especially trade, investment and economy, in addition to education and culture, He highlighted the Shura Council’s keenness to discuss agreements related to various fields of cooperation with the U.S.A, lauding the U.S endeavours to consolidate global peace and security. The U.S ambassador hailed the Kingdom’s democratic experience, and its advanced parliamentary strides, lauding Bahrain’s strategies and plans to advance women by involving them in the political process through ensuring their presence in the Legislative Branch, as well as by making them essential elements in the comprehensive development process currently witnessed by the Kingdom.
