Bahraini-Russian relations discussed

Manama, Sept. 2 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received today Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Vagif Garaev. They discussed strong relations between both countries, stressing the major role of the leaderships in boosting bilateral cooperation. They also discussed a prospective visit of a delegation from the Capital Governorate to the Russian city Saint Petersburg to review ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation after the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to Russia during which the Capital Governor signed a cooperation agreement between the Capital Governorate and Saint Petersburg. The Russian ambassador praised the relentless efforts of the Bahraini government to cement relations with the diplomatic corps in Bahrain, stressing his country's keenness to boost relations with Bahrain.
