Bahraini-UAE solid ties stressed

Manama, Feb. 5 (BNA): His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Honorary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS First Deputy Chairman, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Al-Khalidiya Stables Captain Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa received today Dubai Crown Prince Shaikh Himdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on arrival in Bahrain to take part in His Majesty King Hamad Endurance Cup. Shaikh Himdan was also welcomed by BREEF President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa. Shaikh Nasser welcomed Shaikh Himdan in his second homeland, Bahrain, stressing the importance of the participation of the Emirati horse riders in HM King Hamad Endurance Cup. He also briefed Shaikh Himdan on the preparations for the most important championship in the endurance season as well as the arrangements made to ensure success of the race. He lauded outstanding fraternal relations between Bahrain and the UAE, underlining Bahrain’s welcoming of the Emirati horse riders’ participation in the championship under the captaincy of Shaikh Himdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. On his part, Shaikh Himdan thanked Shaikh Nasser for the good welcome and hospitality, stressing strong ties binding the two brotherly countries in various fields. He noted that the participation of the Emirati riders, alongside their Bahraini brethren, in the race asserts the advanced level of the equestrian sport in both countries as well as keenness to take part in a race named after HM the King.
