Bahraini women’s strides hailed

Manama, Aug.22 (BNA): King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Secretary-General Soumaya Almeer congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the 19th anniversary of the establishment the Supreme Council for Women (SCW). She praised HM the King’s support to the march of Bahraini women and his firm belief in their ability to participate, along men, in serving the nation and attaining more national, regional and international achievements. She hailed Bahrain’s strides, led by HM the King, in promoting gender equality, empowering women in various aspects and enabling them to attain their rights, outperforming many countries in the region. Almeer also congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and SCW President on the 19th milestone, hailing her crucial role in enhancing Bahraini women’s development contribution in all fields and promoting their status. She praised her efforts to empower Bahraini women and enhance their status, turning the council into a role model in the Arabian Gulf region and the Middle East, as well as developed countries. She also extended her congratulations to Bahrain women on this occasion, expressing her confidence in their ability to achieve more national success stories, in the prosperous era of HM the King.
