Bahrainis affirm allegiance to leadership

Manama, Aug.2 (BNA): An assembly was held today to denounce the continuous blatant Iranian interference in Bahrain's internal affairs and sign the document of allegiance to the leadership. The Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS) organised the event under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa. Addressing the gathering, Deputy Capital Governor Hassan Abdulla Madani underlined the critical political phase, stressing citizens' allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. "Loyal citizens realize their patriotic responsibility at this defining moment and rally behind the wise leadership, strongly rejecting flagrant Iranian interference in Bahrain's internal affairs. The Kingdom of Bahrain, he said, will always remain an Arabian Gulf country, run by Al-Khalifa, denouncing the Iranian officials' meddlesome statements which reflect the hostility of Tehran regime. He voiced Bahrain's strong rejection of the terrorism that Iran tries to export to Bahrain, adding that Tehran-backed terror has already wreaked havoc on other countries. BBS Chairperson Ahlam Janahi also addressed the event, strongly condemning Tehran regime' flagrant interference and Iranian officials' hostile statements. She affirmed unwavering allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. She hailed the statement which was made by the Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, denouncing the flagrant Iranian interference in Bahrain's internal affairs. She commended the dedicated efforts and alertness of the security authorities which thwarted attempts to smuggle into Bahrain weapons, explosives and ammunition from Iran which trains, aids and abets terrorists and harbors fugitives. "We will not tolerate any foreign interference. The Kingdom of Bahrain is a sovereign Arab state which does not interfere in other countries' internal political affairs", she said.
