Bahrain's social fabric stronger than subversive attempts

Manama, July 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the kingdom’s foreign policy is based on a firm principle of building good relations with various countries, particularly its neighbourly states. The kingdom is keen to ensure that those relations are based on mutual respect that fosters constructive and fruitful cooperation that meets peoples’ aspirations for development and prosperity, away from any form of interference in the domestic affairs of countries, he said. He made the remarks as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani, MPs, Shura members and senior state officials. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the strong and firm stances voiced by members of the legislative branch against attempts to meddle in the internal affairs of the nation, stressing that those stances, alongside those expressed by all social spectra, prove that the Bahraini people is united against whoever seeks to undermine the kingdom’s security and safety. The kingdom’s social fabric is stronger than all attempts to sow divide or fuel sedition, he said, stressing that whoever tries to divide the Bahrainis is doomed to fail. HRH the Premier praised the honourable stances voiced by all components of the Bahraini people in defence of the homeland’s security and stability and against attempts to interfere in its domestic affairs. That bold stance confirms anew the true mettle of the genuine Bahraini citizens who do not hesitate to defend their nation in all circumstances and occasions, he noted. HRH the Prime Minister called on all government sides and institutions to respond positively to what is published by the Press and various media outlets regarding the citizens’ remarks, asserting that the government’s efforts are focused on ensuring the requirements of decent living for the citizens and fulfilling their expectation, in cooperation with the civil society organisations.
