Bangka District To Develop Coastal Industrial Region

Sungailiat, Bangka-Belitung, Feb 4 (Antara) - The district government of Bangka in Bangka-Belitung (Babel) province supports a private party in the development of the coastal industrial region along the Rebo Air Anyir beach, according to an official. "We fully support the plan of the private company, PT Mitra Idaman, to develop a five-hectare area along the strategic beach of Rebo Air Anyir into a coastal industrial area," stated Bangka deputy district head Rustamsyah, here on Tuesday. He noted that the Bangka district government will help in providing the company with the necessary requirements to facilitate the development of the coastal industrial region. "We are ready to support the PT Mitra Idaman, and we hope that the development of the coastal industrial region will run smoothly," Rustamsyah commented. Meanwhile, the spokesman of the company, Arbain, added that the area along the Rebo Air Anyir beach deserved to be developed into an industrial region because of its strategic location and easily accessibility. "In the master plan, we will build a seaport, a power plant and a warehouse to store logistic supplies," Arbain explained. Therefore, the local government really supports the plan but also calls for the support of the local community to develop the area for their welfare.
