Bangkadi Industrial Park launches cleanup after flooding

BANGKOK, December 7 (TNA) - The Bangkadi Industrial Park in Bangkok's suburban Pathum Thani Province Wednesday launched a post-flood clean-up, with staff of its 44 factories joining with municipal workers and local people to clean main roads in the industrial compound. Kobkan Watanawarangkul, Chair of the Bangkadi Industrial Park and Toshiba Thailand, said her company has destroyed about 200,000 flooded electrical appliances worth 500 million baht, including LCD television sets and refrigerators, to assure that they would not be put up for sale. Kobkan acknowledged, however, that a certain number of her company's products were well protected on high floors and were not affected by floodwater, and that Toshiba Thailand will continue its marketing campaigns to retain customers and dealers.
