Bangkok kicks start Thai arts to ASEAN

BANGKOK, May 8 (TNA) - A Bangkok-based group of artists; Clubnapralan has taken steps to make Thai arts widely known in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), paving the way for their globally recoginized in the future. An art exhibition, themed "Thai arts to ASEAN", with its special emphasis on the emerging ASEAN Community (AC), is, thus, being held at the Seven Art Gallery on South Sathon Road in the Thai capital from May 3-30, during which collectors and lovers of Thai arts are welcome to appreciate artworks of Clubnapralarn's artists who have created inspirational art pieces with different techniques, including “Ruea” depicting the traditional way of life of ASEAN people who rely mainly on streams, believed to become a heartfelt appeal to art lovers of all ages and types. Clubnapralarn’s director Manas Kongrod told journalists on Tuesday that his club has initially planned to introduce the ASEAN-themed artworks in order to build up public awareness and to promote regional cultures. According to Clubnapralarn’s director, the more exhibitions or events are organized for art lovers to appreciate ASEAN arts, the more regional resilience and harmony are achieved. (TNA)
