Bangkok promoted to be "bike city"

BANGKOK, November 7 (TNA) - Parties concerned have eyed to promote Bangkok to become a "bike city" in the region or even in the world. As part of the goal, President of Thailand's Airport Rail Link Company Limited Peerakan Kaew-wongwattana, Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra and Dutch Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Joan Boer jointly presided over a ceremony to open the "Coca-Cola Presents A Day Bike Fest 2013", fair in Bangkok on Thursday, aimed to inspire visitors to commute by bicycles. The event, jointly organized by A Day magazine and Coca Cola Thailand Company Limited, is being held from November 7-10 on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Makkasan station of Airport Rail Link, in which there are over 160 shops and booths selling bicycles and accessories, as well as campaigns on bicycle trips, bicycle maintenance training, relevant public forums and even mini concerts.
