Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport conducts emergency rehearsal

BANGKOK, June 29 (TNA) - Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport has carried out a rehearsal to comprehensively cope with emergency in case of a bomb threat, if any. Phet Chancharoen, General Manager of Don Mueang Airport, under Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), told journalists that Wednesday's annual rehearsal was conducted among parties concerned by using a simulation of a bomb threat at the airport. Phet said that the drill was organised under regulations of Thailand's Civil Aviation Committee and in accordance with proposals and standards of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). Besides, the drill is aimed to prepare all the concerned parties to acknowledge and understand in the same direction of actions to be taken in case of emergency, covering, reports of the emergency, instructions by authorities, communication, coordination and operational procedures among all the concerned parties, as well as a review of well-prepared resources in need in case of any emergency.
