BDF Command-and-Staff Course visit BNA, News Centre

Manama: April 24 – (BNA): A delegation of members from the BDF Joint Command and Staff Course today visited the premises of Bahrain News Agency (BNA) and the News Centre at the Information Affairs Authority (IAA). They toured the BNA's various sections and facilities, including Arabic editing board, English editing board, Local News, e-Media, Research and Database. The guests were briefed by BNA's Acting Director General Mohannad Sulaiman Al-Noaimi on modern methods applicable in news broadcasting and the duties assigned to the Agency and its mission in showcasing remarkable accomplishments and aspects of the Kingdom's development and revival in the prosperous reign of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. They were also briefed on the BNA's role in conveying media and news articles in Arabic, English, French and German. They were informed of the latest development and modernization of the departments and equipment commensurate with rapid development in technology and news transmission. All of the guests have expressed their admiration of the standards of high-tech news transmission in BNA, praising the Agency's mission and its accurate, impartial coverage of nationwide events, wishing the Agency and its staff further progress in serving the media and journalism in the Kingdom. The delegation also visited the News Department and toured the News Centre and its modern studios. They were briefed by the Director of News Department Abdullah Khalid Al-Dossary on the latest development and computerized preparation and production of newsreels, video footages. They praised the role of the News Centre in coverage of local events as well as Arab and international developments, wishing all progress and success to the staff in the News Department. (IY) I.Y
