Belarus to supply 20 buses to public transport of UB

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city in charge of road, transportation and infrastructure affairs N.Gantomor Wednesday met Mr Stanislav Chepurnoy, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Mongolia; Mr A.S.Ogorodnikov, head of the Belarus-Mongolia intergovernmental commission for the Belarusian side; and other officials. At the meeting, the sides discussed issues and exchanged opinions on cooperating within a bilateral contract on supplying 20 buses to the public transport of Ulaanbaatar city, which is implemented by the “Maz” company at the Belarusian Ministry of Industry. Mentioning that the Belarusian “Maz” company has decided to supply the buses after having won an international tender of renovating the public transport service of UB, Mr Ogorodnikov pointed out that an assembling work of the buses has been completed. He added that technical experts will arrive in Ulaanbaatar to analyze routes of the city and will involve bus drivers in a course for operating the buses. Mr Ogorodnikov also put forward a proposal to make the capital cities of the countries sister cities, expanding the cooperation. In response, Mr Gantomor said he will convey this proposal to the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city.
