Bernama journalist terms OANA as indispensable platform in disseminating news

Tehran, IRNA – The head of the Broadcast Department in Bernama News Agency described OANA as an indispensable platform for disseminating news and a viable regional news source. Arul Rajoo, a participant in the 18th meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) General Assembly, told IRNA that news from the respective countries often provides an unbiased picture of the happenings. "We are honored to be in Tehran representing the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) at the 18th OANA General Assembly," he stated. Added with credibility and reliability, and the extended outreach that OANA provides, Bernama is able to disseminate stories from Malaysia and its foreign correspondents to member news agencies through a single platform, he noted. Bernama has used OANA effectively to promote Malaysia’s stand on many international and regional issues, Rajoo further noted. The Malaysian participant underscored that the OANA news platform provides a great opportunity to promote Malaysia and relay news reported by Bernama in the true context. Bernama extends congratulations and best wishes to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) which will be the new chair for OANA, he added. Bernama is a full-fledged news agency today, starting solely as a wire service. Bernama today has extended its news offerings that include Bernama TV, Bernama Radio, and a host of social media platforms.
