Berri urges understanding between Iran, Saudi Arabia

Beirut, Aug 12, IRNA – Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri urged understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia towards settlement of crises in the region. He made the remarks in a meeting with the head of the General Council of Lebanon’s Maronite Christians al-Khazen on the occasion of the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who arrived in Lebanon Tuesday evening at the first leg of his regional tour which is to take him to Syria, Pakistan, India and Russia . He said such an agreement will positively influence the trend of settling regional crises and promoting cooperation in the region. The speaker also stressed that the recent nuclear deal between Iran and the 5+1 will play a role in solving regional issues. Berri is to meet with Zarif this morning.
