BIAS Supreme Organizing Committee holds meeting

Manama, Aug 2 (BNA): His Majesty the King's Personal Representative, President of the Supreme Organizing Committee for Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa today chaired a meeting on the preparations for the BIAS fourth version, which is held under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on 21-23 January 2016. HM the King's Personal Representative was received on arrival at Al-Sakhir Airbase by Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammad, Al-Sakhir Airbase Commander Air vice-marshal Mohammad bin Bahassin Al-Musallam, a number of members of the committee. He pointed out the successes attained in BIAS past events which have promoted Bahrain's economic, investment and development stance. He directed to exert utmost efforts to bring a new success to keep up with Bahrain leading standing and with the experience acquired through previous air shows held in Bahrain. He called on all ministries, government institutions and companies to provide the support needed to make the upcoming event successful. Transportation Minister gave an overview of the preparations for holding the BIAS fourth version, plans to host international companies, schedule of visits and meetings to be held with officials of Arab and friendly countries welcomed participation in the 2016 event, in addition to invitations to attract as many number of international companies specialized in the field of aviation industry as possible. Committee members also presented various programmes to contribute to the success of the upcoming event, noting best offers and facilitations to be made available to participating companies and visitors, which will reflect Bahrain's image as a leading country in aviation exhibition industry.
