Big Cleaning Day at Tham Luang set tomorrow

CHIANG RAI, July 13 (TNA) – The Big Cleaning Day is set for tomorrow while about 1,300 volunteers have already applied to clean the surrounding areas and beautify the landscape there. The Director-General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation will preside over the start of the cleaning campaign on Saturday. Park officials from nearby provinces will join the volunteers to clean the site. In the meantime, about 7-8 officials rotate to guard remaining equipment, used in the rescue mission of 12 boys and their coach around the clock. Fences and barriers were erected at the cave entrance to prevent anyone from sneaking into the cave. The application of volunteers will be opened at the Pong Pha Sub-district Administration Organization office until 4.30 pm today. The cleaning mission is set to start at 8am tomorrow. (TNA)
