Bio Farma To Hold Forum On National Vaccine Research

Bandung, W Java, Aug 1 (Antara) - The national vaccine producer, PT Bio Farma (Persero), will hold a forum on national vaccine research in Jakarta, on August 18-19, 2014. Rahman Ruslan, Bio Farma`s company secretary stated here on Friday that the annual event will be held to commemorate the company`s 124th anniversary. The forum was first held in 2011, in cooperation with the Ministry of Research and Technology and the Health and Research Agency of the Health Ministry. The forum will be attended by some keynote speakers who will discuss varied topics such as the potential of the vaccine industry in the global arena and worldwide competition in vaccine research and development. "Some vaccine researchers from overseas countries will also attend the forum," Ruslan added. During the forum, Bio Farma will showcase the success story of its Hepatitis B Consortium and EPO Consortium that were established in the previous vaccine research forum. "The consistent yearly implementation of the forum is intended to boost national research that will bring immediate benefits to the people," Ruslan emphasized.
