Birthday of DPRK to Be Celebrated in Arab Region

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- An Arab regional preparatory committee for celebrating the 70th birthday of the DPRK was inaugurated on August 12. Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, vice-chairman of the Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt, and Zaher al Khatib, chairman of the Lebanese Committee for Support to the Reunification of Korea, were elected as co-chairmen of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee decided to hold diverse political and cultural events in the celebration period from August 12 to September 11. -0-
