BMA prepares to host One Young World 2015

BANGKOK, Nov 5 (TNA) -- The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) called a meeting to follow up on the preparation progress ahead of the One Young World Summit 2015, which Thailand would be hosting between November 18-21. Bangkok Deputy Governor Amorn Kitchawaengkul presided over the meeting earlier today, to follow up on the progress and preparation on the hosting of the One Young World Summit 2015 with all concerned agencies. Advisor to the Bangkok Governor Capt Duantemduang Na Chiang Mai said after the meeting that the BMA has prepared its readiness in various aspects, including medical personnel to provide around-the-clock services at 10 locations, as well as coordinating with the Royal Thai Police to facilitate traffic flow and to carry out stricter safety measures. She added that venues planned for the event have also been inspected ahead of the hosting of the One Yong World Summit 2015, which would be the first time that the event would be held in Asia. She further noted that 100 Thai youths between the age of 18 and 30 years old have already been selected to represent the country in the summit, where each would be exchanging experiences and opinions with youths around the globe on issues such as human rights, education, inequality in the society and other common concerns. The One Young World Summit 2015 is scheduled to be held between 18-21 November at Centara Grand at Central World, during which more than 1,300 youths from 195 countries around the world would be participating in the event.
