Body of pilot to arrive in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Jan 15 (TNA) - The body of pilot who died in a plane crash during an air show in Songkhla province will arrive at the military airport in Bangkok this afternoon. Upon the arrival, the body of Squadron Leader, Dilokrit Pattavee will be moved to Bhumibol Hospital and a bathing rite is scheduled for tomorrow. Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has earlier extended his condolences to relatives of the killed pilot and the Royal Thai Airforce. Gen. Prayut said the Defence Ministry would compensate the family of the victim. The Swedish-made JAS 39 Gripen jet crashed near the Hat Yai airport runway during the military air show on National Children’s Day. The investigation is under way to find the cause of the accident.
