Bolshoi Theatre, TASS sign agreement on information cooperation

MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. Russia’s world famous Bolshoi Theatre and the TASS News Agency signed an agreement on information cooperation on Tuesday. Bolshoi Theatre Director-General Vladimir Urin and TASS Director-General Sergei Mikhailov signed the document. Mikhailov said, “Years-long cooperation unites two powerful national brands - the Bolshoi Theatre and TASS.” TASS is ready to provide information support for the Bolshoi Theatre projects. “I hope that there will be many interesting events that we’ll announce. I wish the Bolshoi Theatre success on world stages,” Mikhailov said. Urin thanked TASS for support. “A friend in need is a friend indeed. Some time ago the Bolshoi Theatre went through a bad stretch, including on the information space. I should say TASS correspondents showed themselves real friends. They don’t act like some other mass media. I am talking not about the point of view any media is entitled to have but about the way facts are presented,” he said. “I’m most grateful to TASS for true, objective and real information. But I should say in the happy hours when the Bolshoi has interesting tours and premieres TASS is always nearby. Thanks a lot. I’m sure that this relationship will strengthen and develop and that we’ll remain friends in the best sense of this word. I hope for our fruitful cooperation,” Urin said. By preparing the regular agreement with TASS “I feel that the process continues”, he said. “The term of the previous agreement expired and we signed the deal. I believe that nothing will change. We worked, work and will work. I feel it when I start working on the post of Bolshoi Theatre director-general,” Urin said. Read more
