Bosnian news media lauds Anadolu Agency's Balkan broadcast

SARAJEVO (A.A) - Inauguration of Anadolu Agency's Balkan wire service and the Balkan Internet portal has received wide coverage from Bosnian media outlets as the agency's new project to broadcast in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian languages is the first step in a wider drive to make the Anadolu one of the top five news agencies in the world. Bosnia-Herzegovina's mass-circulation daily Dnevni Avaz said the agency's Balkan broadcast would be a major asset for media outlets of the region as an important source of news items, video footage and photographs. The daily quoted remarks by renowned Bosnian scholar Muhamed Filipovic who said Anadolu's Balkan broadcast would be an important development for Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as for the entire region as the daily also conveyed remarks by EU's High Representative for Bosnia Valentin Inzko who said that the agency's presence in the Balkans would boost investments in the region.     News portal Sarajevo-X has covered remarks by Anadolu Agency Director General and Board Chairman Kemal Ozturk over the agency's "100th Anniversary Vision."   Anadolu Agency's Balkan broadcast is set to launch on March 11 with an inauguration ceremony at the Turkish Embassy Residence in Sarajevo. The ceremony is also set to see the penning of cooperation protocols between the Anadolu Agency and media outlets in the region including Al Jazeera Balkans, Federal TV, MINA Agency, dailies Dnevni Avaz, Oslobocenye ve and Croatian newspapers Vecerni List and Dnevni List.
