Brisk Farming Preparations in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- South Phyongan and Kangwon provinces in the DPRK have made meticulous preparations for farming. Finding themselves on farm fields, officials let the masses understand the importance of increasing the fertility of soil in hitting the grain production target for this year and took thorough measures to push ahead with the farming preparations as scheduled. Farms in South Phyongan Province produced more than 1.9 million tons of compost. Institutions and industrial establishments in the province, too, supplied hundreds of tons of manure to the countryside, conscious of being the masters that they shoulder the responsibility for farming together with agricultural workers. Agricultural workers in Kangwon Province are putting spurs to the farming preparations including the production of quality compost and securement of materials for rice-seedling beds. -0-
