BSEC customs officials convene in Baku

Baku, November 26, AzerTAc A meeting of the heads of customs administrations of member states of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) has kicked off in Baku. The two-day meeting is attended by delegates from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Greece, Belgium, Russia and other countries. Opening the event, deputy chair of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee Rza Hasanaliyev expressed confidence that the meeting will contribute to improving experience exchange between the member states. Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat Traian Chebeleu highlighted the work done since the previous gathering of the heads of the customs administrations. “A working group was set up this September in Istanbul to deal with the application of a single window system in the fields of customs and trade.” The meeting will hear reports by heads of the BSEC customs administrations. The event will culminate with the adoption of Baku Declaration on customs service initiatives in trade facilitation.
