Bt254 million approved for agriculturists in 21 provinces

BANGKOK, Oct 18 (TNA) - The Budget Bureau has given the green light on the budget amounting about 250 million baht for agriculturists in 21 provinces throughout the country to buy machinery and other farming necessities. Krissada Boonraj, permanent secretary for Interior said approval on the 254 million baht for agriculturists is within a five million baht budget the government allocates to each sub district aimed at improving the livelihood of farmers and reducing production cost. He said the money would be given to agriculturists through registered cooperative groups which would cooperate with army personnel in the area in procuring the machinery and other necessities in order to create transparency.
