Bursa university to host seminar on Iran-Turkey cultural relations

TEHRAN,Oct.1(MNA) – The Uludag University in the northwestern Turkish city of Bursa will be playing host to the Eighth Seminar of Iran-Turkey Cultural Relations, which will open on February 13, 2014. The seminar has been organized by the Turkish History Foundation in collaboration with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO). Several topics are due to be discussed during the two-day seminar including the role of Islam in modernizing the societies of Iran and Turkey, the political situation of Iran and Turkey in the Islamic civilization, and the position of Iran and Turkey in confronting imperialism, colonization and modernity. The position of Iranian and Turkish Islamic architecture in Islamic culture and civilization, immigration and Iranian and Turkish immigrants in Islamic culture and civilization, and the process of reviving and promoting the concept of unity in the world of Islam are among other topics to be discussed.
