Cabinet affairs minister meets French MP

Paris, Oct. 10 (BNA): Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa held a meeting with the member of the French Parliament's Committee for European Affairs and Foreign Relations Andre Schneider, and discussed with him ways to bolster Bahraini-French relations in various fields. The French MP highlighted the role of the Committee for European Affairs and Foreign Relations, and as Chairman of the French team at the Human Rights Council at the European Parliament, he invited the minister to visit the council. The minister lauded the advanced level of the Bahraini-French relations in all fields, stressing the two friendly countries' interest in bolstering joint cooperation further. He underlined Bahrain's keen interest to strengthen cooperation with France in the economic, trade and investment fields through availing of the existing opportunities to achieve economic and trade partnerships. Al-Mutaw praised the key role played by France in enhancing global security and stability, and its influence in shaping up the international decision-making process. He stressed that Bahrain always welcomes all efforts to strengthen ties between the two countries, especially in the investment field, calling for French sides to take advantage of the facilities provided by the kingdom which has entitled to be among the leading countries in economic freedom and openness. MP Andre Schneider welcomed the minister's current visit to France, and underscored its importance in boosting bilateral ties and enhancing joint cooperation, affirming his country's keenness to extend bridges of cooperation with the kingdom. He also praised the development and progress boom currently witnessed by Bahrain in all fields.
